"Luck is for leprechauns and you ain't green." The quotes are similar in the way they are saying that if you are putting in the work, luck doesn't mean anything.
The video and the quote differ in the way that ET's video is saying luck is for people who don't work hard. The quote is saying that luck is simply just a hard working person.
5. First, the message is that if you work hard enough, you'll never have to rely on luck or even believe in it. The message matters in ways like when people cry out for help and complain that they have run out of luck. They'll never realize that luck never really existed. All they had to do was keep working hard at whatever they were doing. If they just kept working hard, "their luck never would've ran out."
I can apply these concepts to my life and make it better in ways of never stop trying. If I never stop trying then "the luck will never run out." If I just start with hard and and end with hard work, the "luck" would've never been there, and the only thing that I would have to complain about when I do fail/mess up is myself, not working hard enough. Something I picked up from the video is that "it's either a blessin' or it's a lesson. This is probably the only thing that I really picked up from the video. It's also the most important thing that I picked up.

If I don't work hard on a task that is assigned to me, then I will not get the job done. an example of this is if I have to finish a project that is due in a couple of days, than I have to work so I can believe in luck. At first, the video and the quote had seemed to be talking about two different topics, but after understanding and reading the quote along with my notes, it made much more sense that they were both trying to give the same message of succeeding and believing in luck.
5) Ultimately, this matters because you will never get the work done if you don't get and succeed. People imagine that they want to become doctors or lawyers, but they're still sitting around on the couch all day and getting D's and F's in school. You can't slack off if you want your dreams to come true. Your dream job or career path will not just come to you. If you also want to believe in luck, you have to work hard and believe that you can get the work done so you don't have to work as hard later on in life. Working hard now will be rewarding because then life will come and go as quick as you can blink. It will not wait a minute so you can mess up and get back up again. If you fall, get back up quickly and don't stress about it. That mistake that you made 3 years ago, or even yesterday does not matter as long as you pay attention to what is going on now and what will go on in the future.
I can apply these concepts to my life to make it better by always working hard and believing that my dream can come true.I can't just sit around all day waiting for my future to just come to me, I also can't just watch TV all day and expect my dreams to come true. Even if I might watch Netflix and YouTube all day, I get my homework done and make sure that I am not missing anything before I go off track to do something that will not matter. YouTube and so many other social medias distract me from succeeding because we all worry about what other people are saying on the internet, when we can really be out there becoming leaders and people who actually can give to the world. Today, our world is pretty messed up because people give up on what they once believed in and expect work to just come to them. When I was about in the 3rd grade, I remember that I wanted to become a photographer. Today, that is still my dream. But, when I was 8 years old, I thought that all of these opportunities would just come flying at me and I'd have the perfect job. Now that I am in high school, I have really realized that I have to work hard if that is what I want my career to be. Jobs aren't going to find me, I have to find them and prove that I am worthy of working hard. All of this couldn't have been done without my family and all of my teachers that have and still do believe in me.

In my own own life, I know that my effort can be lacking and that I rely on chance too often for comfort. I can always work a little harder, do a little more reading, make sure i get something done a little earlier. But doing just a little won't change anything. I need to take control and know that chance won't always come through-- it very rarely does at all. My life can absolutely use some change, a lot more effort to get me off autopilot and closer to doing what I really want. I do know that my work ethic is strong, but I'm lacking in putting in every bit of of my true ability to write or analyze what i need to.

For example, the quote says, "' ... and I find the harder I work, the more I have it.'". Thomas Jefferson was explaining his opinion on luck and how it doesn't happen randomly. Eric Thomas explains in his video that luck doesn't exist and the only way you receive positive results in life is from hard work. They are different because the video shows luck doesn't exist while the quote indicates that luck is merely just the end result of hard work, but we perceive it as luck.

There have been some times where I didn't want to put in the effort and I just waited around, hoping my goals would just come to me, but it never happened because I did not do anything about it.

4.Having luck is something that comes around often but autopilot makes you not be in-control of it. There's differences between being autopilot and having luck. There's sometimes a similarity between both of them.

Honestly I've been putting more effort into my work and I noticed that I've been having a good attitude, it's much easier not worrying about failing and more. When I would not do my work it would be a horrible feeling like everything is going to be all bad for my future. I have to stay focus and learn a lot through my journey of my life.
