1) To summarize the quote, it is saying that without love, life is boring. Such as a tree without flowers. It is dull and boring. To summarize the video, it is saying that you need to be happy with love and not just play around. Love isn't a game and if you find it, you need to keep it instead of passing it around like a game that you get bored of after a while.

Having a partner in life is great and it also makes you feel great, but when they're gone or not in your life anymore, life seems to be a little boring than before. A lot of people need to learn that true love isn't just a game and that you can't be playing around and say I love you just because you can. You need to trust the other person and truly love them.
3) The video and the quote are similar because they both talk about how true love, or just love, is great to have in your life. The quote is basically a simplified version of the video. Both the video and the quote talk about how love is a great thing to have and how it makes you feel like a different person with or without it. They differ because the quote is talking about how life is boring without love, while the video talks about how great love is when you have it. Not without it. The quote is talking about how life without love is boring, along with a simile. The video talks about how great love is as it is.
4) This matters because you can't just think that you've found true love. You need to believe it in your mind and heart. Not just some words to keep the other person around. It is tough to say I love you, but when you do, it could feel a lot better than it did if you actually didn't mean it. Love isn't some type of item that you can pass around and play games with. It is a real concept and people should learn how to keep it when they've found it.
I can apply these principles from this message to make my life better by always putting my trust into one another. This would include friends and a future boyfriend/husband. This does sound a little weird to talk about as a freshman in high school, but it is a real concept that we all should expect and accept. Kids nowadays don't understand the concept of true love, even if it could be right in front of their face. Now when I say this, I don't mean I'm an expert of love. Trust me, I am not. But when it is your time and you believe that you've found true love, than cherish it while it is present. Don't just wait around and expect love to come to you the next day because it will come when the time is right. That could be tomorrow, or in a month, a year, or maybe even 10 years from now. You just have to be patient.

I can apply the principles from this message to make my life better because I can work on the love I have with my family and my friends. I can try to call my aunts and uncles to check up on them once in a while and just remind them that I think about them everyday; I love them to death. Maybe I can even start to call old friends and see how they are doing. There is no possibility that once in my life I will ever not incorporate some sort of love into my life. I will always have a need to have real love in my life, no matter how old I get.

Life can be great, but according to the quote, love can make it a lot better. Life being the "tree" here, it's blossoms and fruit are the best, most interesting and beautiful parts of it.
3. The video and quote are very similar, the video of course being able to go deeper into the subject, giving more detail of the aspects of a relationship. The video follows a man who loses his girlfriend to fame and the temptation of other women, but shows him coming back to her with the revelation of him wanting a stronger love. The quote ties into this as it teaches the importance of a strong love. The video has one line that gives the best values of a relationship: friendship, trust, honor, respect and admiration. The video and quote are simply different in their execution and amount of content.
4. This matters because those who listen to it may begin to appreciate the love that is in their lives, look forward to future relationships, or even improve their current relationship. It's easy to take your love for granted, seeing it as something not worth taking note of. However, the concept of a person loving another for all of their greatness as well as their faults is fascinating. We think of this as something silly, corny and unimportant-- that being a player will not have consequences. The video has a moment where the girlfriend is crying, hurt by her boyfriend's intentions to cheat while on tour. Expecting nothing to come of hurting others is unrealistic, and unlike the video, the girl you seemed to "love" may not want you to come back, or come back to find you.
Any young person who doesn't yet know love in a romantic way or even a person who does know it but is failing to keep it can use advice. Appreciating the love you receive and reciprocate is essential to a happy relationship, as many do not realize. A person who has grown to love you in a way different from others is a blessing that one must be thankful for. I can easily apply this to my life, as I would hope to be in a happy relationship eventually. In the meantime, learning that your actions will have an effect on your partner cannot be avoided.

ReplyDelete2. Based upon my understanding, the quote means that without any love in your life, there's still something to do. If you're sitting around, hanging with some friends, sure you're having fun, but in most instances, love is a greater feeling than fun.
3. The video and the quote are similar, because they both talk about how love is what really completes your life, the first check off the bucket list. The video and the quote are different, because with the quote, it depends on what you may call love. In the video during the beginning he talks about how he used to play around with many girls, but if that's what he considered love, then so be it. Towards the middle and the end, he starts talking about how he wants to find his true love. This in my opinion is what the quote is about.
4. These principles matter, because in life, there will be people who are either in too few relationships or too many. The people that are in too many aren't sluts or man-hoes, (most of them at least) are simply trying to figure out what works for them. They aren't a player because it's fun. They're a player because the certain people they've asked out simply hasn't worked for them. The way they respond to how it hasn't worked out may simply be second nature and they don't realize they're being offensive, but at the end of the day, that's what it is. A negative and a negative, coming together, but eventually repelling.
These principles can be applied to my life to make it better in ways such as advice. The principles stated above, are for the people who either have too few or too many relationships. Luckily, I'm in the too few category. The principles, however still apply. Though I'm not a player, I've had more in-depth relationships to take more time to find out what doesn't work for me. For instance, I'm more of a confrontational person, but if I know that the other person is uncomfortable with that, I'll make adjustments accordingly, but I know I don't particularly enjoy the kind of relationship.

I can use this in my life by finding out whose really gonna ride for me and who's not.So when I find the right people I can make them happy.In life there will be people who will try to get in the middle and throw you off track because they're jealous so you just have to stand strong and know how to deal with that.I can also us this in life because the video tells us don't try to love just anyone because you're feeling in the need of love.So this tells me to wait until I find the right one that would really do anything for you and you would do the same.Lastly,I can apply this to my life because when I find the right person and I know it's the right person I have to take advantage of having the right person there for me.As human beings we tend to often take the good things in our life for granted.

The video was about Cool J, during a hectic tour, having to leave his girlfriend because of everything else that was going on. After a while, he realized that he needs her and kept searching for her. Once they found each other again, Cool J explained to her how he was going to treat her from now on.

Love matters because it is going to be in your future some day. Love matters because it's having that one person you can always count on and will always be there for you no matter what. Once you start getting more deeper into a relationship it gets more difficult so it get oblivious and if you let it go it will be harder to get it back.
